My Poetry

Caffeine

I place one hand firmly around its figure, and the other around the top.

I slowly twist on the top and the bottle throbs in my hand as it bubbles and foams up inside.

It softly sizzles and whistles as suds start to crack and pop.

I get the top off and foam erupts inside.

I can feel it release and loosen in my hands.

Once it calms down, I throw the top on the ground and grab it by the neck.

I tilt my head back as I tilt the bottle forward.

Then I take a sip of my coca-cola.

Refreshing…
