I was picking at a scab and opened up an old wound. As soon as the memories of you began to bleed out, I knew I was doomed. I should've never ripped off the band-aid. I should've just let the feelings fade... But now the dried up memories are fresh again. I think about you… Continue reading Scabs

Teen (Be One)
Pregnancy? How could you let that be? You're only seventeen. What about a degree? Posting pictures online... Thinking everything is just fine. I'm sorry, but I'm not saying congratulations. Having a baby while still a baby should not be a celebration. Get educated, not pregnant. Find yourself, don't try to find love. Explore, don't settle… Continue reading Teen (Be One)
Falling
I fell so hard for you and it's destroying me. In a few short weeks you'll be across the country pursuing a degree. My heart is in agonizing pain! I can't get you out of my brain. Could we have been a thing if I fell faster? Maybe we could have. And maybe we would… Continue reading Falling
Departure
My heart is overflowing with emotions. It's like a shutter holding in rain and it's about to burst. I've taken a bad fall for you. I wish I would've fell sooner though. I don't care how much the fall hurts, because maybe, if I would have realized my feelings sooner, just maybe we could have… Continue reading Departure
D.C.
I've finally found the definition of perfect, it's you! Every little piece of you is perfect. Your dreamy brown eyes your preppy style your intelligence your generosity your shiny smile your chivalry your soothing voice... The list is never-ending. I started to believe no one was capable of being flawless, then I met you and… Continue reading D.C.
Dictatorship
Rejection. Controlling me. Possessing me. Dictating me. Powerful like Hitler or Stalin yet owns no lips to speak, no eyes to see, no heart to feel, no brain to think, no limbs to move, no ears to hear. A horrid feeling. A speechless, lifeless, invisible force obstructing me from complete happiness. Controlling my thoughts, controlling… Continue reading Dictatorship
Sidewalks
I went to this poetry event last year, and the guy told us all to write a poem with the first thing that pops into our head after he gave us a scene, we were walking in his scenario. Our poem could go anywhere, just had to incorporate his setting. This is what I had came up with. This is a poem about friendship. About a simple, everyday, item determining a friendship.
Little Charlie
This is a poem I wrote about Algernon from the famous book Flowers for Algernon. It was actually an assignment to create a poem my sophomore year of high school. And, I liked my poem so much that I decided to keep it and show it to the world years later. In the same wording and format as it was when I was in the tenth grade too. 🙂
Boom
Short, but impactful poem I wrote about gun violence in schools from a child's point of view. It is a sensitive topic, and may provoke some feelings, so if this is a sensitive topic for you, I would recommend not to read.
Halloween
This poem is pretty self-explanatory. About an event that occurred in my life. A special event that happens once in a lifetime. Hope you enjoy.
